Car Accident

Collisions caused by distracted, impaired, or negligent drivers.

Overview

Most car accident claims are decided long before anyone files suit — they are decided by what the adjuster can see in the file. Skid measurements, event data recorder downloads, and the first set of imaging carry more weight than any argument made months later.

We open every collision file by locking down the evidence that degrades fastest: vehicle black box data before the car is released to salvage, intersection and dashcam footage before it is overwritten, and a treating physician’s opinion tying the mechanism of injury to the diagnosis.

Car Accident questions

Should I accept the insurance company's first offer?

Rarely. A first offer is usually made before the full course of treatment is known, and once you sign a release you cannot reopen the claim if your symptoms worsen.

What if the other driver had no insurance?

Your own uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage may respond. These claims are brought against your own carrier and are frequently resolved through arbitration rather than trial.

How long do I have to file?

The deadline is set by your state's statute of limitations and can be as short as one year. Some claims against government entities require formal notice within months of the crash.
